I have the terra grapplers right now, they are a pretty decent tire, but they are horrible in the mud. I have a small hill to go up when leaving the fields and I always am spinning tires in the mud that is not very deap to begin with. I will be looking into the KM2's when I am ready for a new set of tires.

I talked to Discount. They will do the 255/80/17 KM2's for $845 out the door with my tires in trade, or they will do the 295/70/17 Nitto's for $756.

I wonder if there is a lot of difference in rolling resistance between the wider Nitto's and the more aggressive (but narrower) KM2's? I still have to pretend I care about fuel economy after all.

The KM2 will get noisy once it gets a little wear on it but they are excellent tires. Lots of folks here run those Nitto's but I haven't ever seen them last a long time on anybody's truck. Might look into the Cooper Zeon as well. It's an aggressive looking tire that gets rave reviews.

I really don't think you'd go wrong with either tire you posted, but the BFGs will outlast the Grapplers hands down... so if the Nitto is a bunch cheaper, it might be a tie..

I have the Terra Grapplers on my good wheels and I have no complaints about wear. Have ran 'em for 2 summers now. I'd estimate I have around 20,000 miles on 'em and they will last at least another 20 - 25,000 miles.
