Interior room, yes.

When we went to OBX this year our friends came in their minivan (3 kids). Problem was we were 9 miles up the beach in Corolla (4x4 access only). I had to make 2 trips with the XK to get them and their food/luggage to the house; and there was still stuff we left in the van!

Im leaning towards an older (01-03) burb or yukon xl at this point. Something around 100k miles that was well maintained (per my inspection) and will actually be less than what I owe on the Liberty. Seems like a win-win-win.....

I picked up my '01, 94K miles, 4x4, LT Tahoe for $9000 a few years back and it was super clean for its age. You should be able to find something '01-'03 in a Burb for just about the same. The market for used SUV's is a little better now so I would expect the prices have risen a little since I bought which should make it about a wash.

They're just not enthusiastic enough of drivers to make it in their minivan

If they had a front tow hook, i would've pulled them the whole way
