So the 9 year old truck turned out to look like a 9 year old truck? :dunno:

What all was wrong with it?

1. dirty interior (stains)

2. driver's seat was all ripped on the side (conveniently just below where the pic ended, nice crop-job).

3. Numerous interior rattles

4. dent on hood

5. cracked bugshield (not a huge deal as i likely would remove it anyway)

6. rear wheel flare was coming apart (away from fender)

7. paint needed a good buff/polish (he claimed it shined like new).

8. engine bay was filthy, valve covers coated in oil/grime.

Basically, just not taken care of to my standards.

it did run good though.

That's what I was worried about. I feel typically you can tell how well a vehicle has been taken care of based off the interior.

It would have been a bitch to keep clean anyhow. Sorry it didn't work out.

68,000 miles in 11 years? Jim been driving this thing?

Hopefully since he seems older it won't have been tainted by kids much (stains) and with lower mileage the paint and body should be in better shape.

Curious what the leather looks like on an 11 year old truck. I guess it usually depends on whether or not he/she regularly drug their ass getting in an out.

Overall sounds like a nice find you need to go check out.

Out of curiousity how do truck frames (non-Toyota) fare up there?

GM trucks are hot wax dipped, which does not last. However, GM has not had any catastrophic frame corrosion issues. They will get surface rust on the frame and chassis components, but it rarely leads to structural integrity issues.

And the VMax2007 era will continue....

obviously, other people's definition of "Very nice condition" is much different than mine.

Drove 2.5 hours (each way) and knew within 5 minutes I did not want it. Oh well, I got to see a good friend and partied with him and a few other friends all night.
