This would be a tough decision for me. I like both for different reasons. I haven't driven one but I hear the wrx handles amazing but is a little firm for a daily driver.

The new mustangs are badass but ford interior just doesn't do it for me. That being said I could overlook that if the power/handling fit the bill.

I have always had a thing for the wrx though.

Yeah, I can come up with scenarios where the WRX STi would probably win out over the Mustang.. But, most of them don't involve Texas..

One other option to look at is trade in value down the road, since you trade often, which will hold it's value better?

Not like maintenance is an issue since you don't keep them long enough, if you did then the Ford would be less $$$ in that area.

Either way, AMSOIL works great in both.

I nearly traded my truck last year on a 2008 WRX sedan. Man that little car was fun and booked despite not being the STi even. I'd talked the financing, did the trade in, all of that and then decided I wanted to get my truck payed for done and done before I made a change so I kept my truck. Truck is payed off as of this month and we'll see what happens in January. Full size pickups aren't enjoyable downtown in the parking garages - it's doable, but not fun. If I lived in Texas, I'd be going for the Stang though. I wanted the AWD for snow.

WRX holds its value very well if kept nice.

Mustang is a medium performer in that category.

BUT - you can get a LOT steeper discount up front on the Mustang.

I'd have to go with the Mustang GT on this one. Just throwing an exhaust on them makes them sound sick.

We tossed a Borla axle-back kit on my buddy's 2011 5.0 and it sounds SICK.

If you are talking 2-3 years after a big discount at initial purchase you wont lose much...

Actually they would be about the same since the Mustang is sold at a discount. Both are pretty good resale cars.

Yeah I was surprised that even the Nox will have a 56% resale value in the next 3-4years. Other model crossovers non american made are 65%...

American quality is a lot better these days.
