The start of an unusual T-bucket build

It's all still just in mock up while collecting parts. Recently picked up a small budget 120v 100a SMAW welder to tack brackets & bits on so I can take the frame to a professional welder to finalize things. I'm not so much going for pretty welds as I am about making sure things don't break off.

Decided to get a little goofy with headlight mounting, let the buckets turn with the front wheels:









Rough cut the body to fit over the trans. This is the first time I've gotten to see drivetrain height compared to body height on the frame, the engine will sit roughly .5" higher with mounts. I think proportions are turning out awesome.

While building this thing in my head I always imagined a section '32 grille behind the axle. While figuring out the space for grill placement I set the full sized un-cut grille down on the axle and leaned it back against the radiator. I think I found my new look. This also opens up the room to run the water-to-air intercooler in front of the radiator.

I like it, but I am a bigger fan of the 34 grill, just saying. Oh and the lean is perfect IMO.
