Alright, finally got the bronco running and thought it would be fun to show ya'll what I've done so far.
This is the truck the day I got it

First thing I did was buy a repair manual for it.

Next I got some new tires to replace the crappy egg shaped ones that were on it already.

This is them mounted.

When I was at the shop I told them I needed an alignment. They told me that the truck needed new axle pivot bushings before they could complete the alignment (camber). told me it would be 4+ hours labor to install.
Got the part from energy suspension as well as new radius arm bushings, and radius arm drop brackets. Also installed new shock mount bushings on the front.

Previous drop brackets, they were a frame that was cut into c channels then welded back together.:dunno:

New Brackets with the bushings

Then I got a buddy to weld one of the exhaust holes shut on the flowmaster muffler and then weld in a new tailpipe from autozone
Welded

Got to look around the engine bay and noticed there were some hoses missing.
got replacement ones and installed

Then after failing emissions (bad seal on gas tank and vapor canister)

... the truck wouldn't start after they told me what was wrong. Had to pull some accessory wires and get a new battery.

My buddy gave me some 3/16" steel tubing that I used as a bumper (sprayed with rustoleum bed liner)
Managed to keep my tow hooks and get the bumper on

oh and I reupholstered the seat

Next I'm thinking desert camo, newer seats and wiper blades. Eventually getting a new grill since the current is smashed and spray painted horribly.

Whattya think so far?

Smart!

I'd suggest some fender flares of some description to cover the hack job in the wheel wells. And purchase a spare starter solenoid and keep it in the glove box.

Oh and thank you for removing those ghetto fabbed radius arm drop brackets!

working on figuring out what to do to the fenders. debating whether I should by some flares or have some welded on. If I get welded flares it would look better when it gets painted and would prevent dirt from getting to the engine.
but bushwacker extended flares are easy to install.
Why the extra starter solenoid? just in case? or are broncos known for them going out?

Is your truck missing one of the intake hoses from airbox to intake? Or was it just removed in that photo (#10)?

yes it's missing it. I don't really care, wouldn't make much of a difference.
