Texans are NOT used to cold weather like our Yankee brothers.

when you texas boys nuts drop, the weather wont seem so bad....
It's a damn good thing we like you.

:jester:

There is a saying here in Texas:

"He just needed killin'..."

Its a viable defense in our legal system.

:jester:

or you could just move over here...our cops can't solve a murder so really, you don't need a defense. :ninja:

But then I would live in a trash dump...

But we have...nope, can't argue with that one

I take part of it back...I would live around Red River/Taos/Eaglesnest. The southern part is trash.

 so down where I live? Ok, it is just pretty much dirt and mesquite...and a radioactive waste dump.

We've been below freezing and in the teens to twenties for a few days. Not a situation that happens here very often.

Yesterday morning, I fired up the Explorer to let it warm up. After it was good and warm I jumped in to head off to buy cars - but NO HEAT! Ice cold air only. Turns out the antifreeze in the 215,000 mile Exploder had given up its ability to anti-freeze and my heater hoses and core were frozen. Luckily it thawed from the engine heat after a few more minutes and did not rupture. Of course I did not leave the driveway until it was toasty warm inside.

Dodged a bullet there.

I'm ready for summer.

LOL at thread title change.

Texans apparently aren't happy with just 10-month boating seasons

I tried today and didn't catch anything. I saw a bunch of small fish that had died from the freeze and a few hundred carp that, unfortunately, didn't die. Then saw a frog that died of frostbite. I did try to foul hook a 18" catfish. Saw him sitting on the bottom but he swam away after about 4 attempts. I almost jumped in but the water was in the 40s and that is too damn cold for swimming when you are a few hundred yards (and downwind) from the truck. Did get some neat pictures though.
