On my 4l60e in my 04 Chevy 1500, the valve body bore for tcc valve must be getting sloppy, now I have some people say I can install a heavy duty spring on that valve to have full oil flow to convertor all the time and some other said if I have can bus computer I will have to replace valve body? Just started to happen in lockup from 47 mph to 55 mph I can feel motor speed up slighty and at 60 mph its fine from there on up. I need your thoughts or opinions

Lets start with, how is your fluid condition and level? Have you checked your line pressure? Can you monitor your TCC line slip, input and output RPMs? Any shudder or codes?

No shudder or codes. Fluid is clean. Tech 2 showed in lock up the pressure was a little low going to convertor.

Its possible that it is the TCC valve is getting hung up or sticking. I know Sonnax makes a good kit, I have used 2-3 before with good results.
The reamers are not necessary, but you can open the cavity up that the valve resides in. Bad thing is that you will have to dissemble the valve and measure the opening to see what size reamer you will need.

Well got it done the, had my transmission guy help me and the long spring that he usually uses wouldn't work, so we made plug to space the valve to proper location and shortened the new spring and put back together and all is well. Made lock up a lot firmer.
