It can get pricey quick, especially if you start seriously bashing the trucks or get into brushless and lipos. I like the nitro cars myself, something bout the smell of that nitrous fuel burning! But the brushless setups with some high end lipo batteries are freaking insane, that's what the one in the video is....

For the right price!! Honestly though, check craigslist I've seen some pretty good deals on there. That's were I picked up my son's Rustler. I picked him up an electric to get him started...It'll only do bout 22mph right now but with a little upgrade it'll hit 70mph.

If you really wanna get started in the hobby let me know, there's a few things to consider when choosing electric or nitro. If you like to tinker, the nitro is more fun imo, just a little more maintanence involved...

Also go check out http://www.traxxas.com, these guys tend to have the most readily available and affordable parts.

Thanks! Yeah, it has always been something I have wanted to get into, but haven't yet. I may seriously consider it again just as soon as the economy picks up and my job security returns so I can remove my family's spending freeze on "luxuries" (kid's dance/activities are discluded in this freeze).
