Subwoofers And Amp

Ok.... So I am nearing getting my box and head unit.. few more funds added to the bank and Ill be there....

I need a kinda shallow sub... nothing flat but nothing that is a foot deep lol. I am targeting 2 12 inch subwoofers and a good amp. What Can yal recommend to me? I am audio stupid and would like a nice combo...but I dont want to spend $1000 bucks on 2 subs and a amp either lol.

Any recommendations? I want as much thump as possible.. but nothing that will crash the bank account! I really like kicker... as they have never let me down, but im not strictly stuck to them...

It's a really good sub, I had it in my truck but never really listened to it hard.
As for amps, I just got an Audioque amp, I would look into those, they are awesome!

I've run Alpine, Kicker and JL subs. I prefer the JLs personally. Heres a good place to compare subs and amps side by side and get all the related info on them.

My biggest hurtle will be selecting a good amp with the subs.... I know matching them makes a difference... my old setup in the silverado sounded amazing.. literally had the right ammount of bass for every song except LOW notes.

I REALLY like the Polk sub I just bought. It has a very shallow mounting depth but it's not a shallow sub. Also, what else are you planning on powering with amps, just the subs?

Yeah, I figure the pioneer Im getting will power the door speakers enough... I dont need them EXTREMLY loud.... I mean heck they sound great with my basic factory head unit.

That looks like a good unit. You should be fine from a reputable seller.

Are you still doing the sub thump and mounting the amp in it?
