That's what I have been finding also.
The P3 shallow subs are great. I am running one.

my cousin said his was custom made for his truck by car toys, he didnt remember how much though. It was a couple of years ago.

Well after doing some searching and what not, I have decided to just get this set-up:Pioneer TS-SWX251 Compact sealed enclosure with one 10" shallow-mount sub at Crutchfield.com
I don't pound bass like crazy, so this should give me just enough little extra that I am looking for.
