Stupid question needs serious answer

Ok so I'm getting ready to fix the ranger and I just want to make sure I have the right part name before I order it from a junk yard in kansas and can't return it.

Is the arrow in the picture below pointing to the upper intake manifold?
I'm referring to the part that connects/bolts to the blue thermostat housing.

As stated this is for ordering a part so please no jokes.

Upper would be the black part that attaches to it. The cast part should be the lower. What engine is this?

I don't think it's a dumb question at all. You need to know what to order to get the right parts.

the picture is of a 2007 3.0 vulcan engine
mines a 99 but similar setup
