ill get some pic tomorrow to show you what i got, but its coming off as soon as the weather breaks.

the grill, they have a clear type coat on them and its pealing big time.

the mirror covers, they are pitting and the chrome is flaking off.

while im at it, im going to remove the chrome covers on the d-handles as well.

i think im going to use a heat gun to get these off, but what do i use to get the glue off and clean them up? i hope i dont find anything underneath the covers that i dont like:eek:

i know some of you will be happy that im removing them lol

That looks like ass, to be honest. The only thing that looks good is the grille! Glad to see it come off.

To remove the adhesive left behind, use Goo Gone. Pretty cheap stuff, so I'd buy 2-3 bottles since you have so much to take off. I used pretty much the whole bottle just to take off the Chevy emblem on my old truck's tailgate. And be careful when using a heat gun! You can damage your paint.

^^^Good advice. Most of the stuff is held on with double sided tape. It's work but you can get if off clean. As far as the chrome stuff goes. heat one end of what you are removing and get it started... most will peel off from there with a little force. Then remove the tape that remains.

Yep just heat up and pull it off. Use goo gone like said above. If the adhesive is stubborn you can even use a 3M wheel.

At least your truck doesnt have chrome rocker panals on it like mine did :uhoh:
