Oh and i also moved my CB antenna to the drivers side of the hood:

Shouldn't it be on top in the center? The ground plane is all to the passenger side :dunno:

For max range, yes. For trail riding, no.

My SWR's are 1.5-2 across the band. Not sure what my range is but it's plenty to keep in touch with my group while wheeling. Some of the trails I take would rip the antenna right off the roof.

For max range, yes. For trail riding, no.

Never had my cheapy CB tuned,some day when I get a nice Cobra I will :thumbs:

Nothing more fun than chatting with other vehicles when riding the trails,luckily my antenna has a magnetic base.Where I ride we have no trees :( just open,dry,dusty,steep,rutty,etc.(unless it rains,then the dirt turns to grease) trails,but a lot of fun :thumbs:
