At work we use a mix of truxedo and extang, and I would say they are both pretty nice covers that seem to be pretty darn nice. I don't really have any first hand experience with them though.

Just a side note, those pad lock that Roberts contact has on ebay are pretty darn neat, they match your key for your truck.

It's not heaven . . . it's Iowa!
I have had my Access since September and love it! i wasn't wild about the whole 'velcro' idea, but it's been fine. Even in monsoon-type rains and car washes, there is minimal leakage. Just a little bit up by the tailgate. I did get the seals to go with it. It would have been an extra $40 but they gave it for free!

The guys also had it installed in about 15 minutes!

How "weatherproof" are you looking for? The one I had on my Sierra used velcro down the sides. So, that was nice. But, it wasn't completely "sealed" up front. So, air could get in..

I actually didn't mind that, most of the time. That let it "breathe" some if moisture got inside.. But, when it was raining, you could end up with a little water in the bed.. It also didn't keep dust out..

Anything I wanted to put back there that I wanted protected from rain & dust, I'd put in storage bins and bungee them to the sides of the bed, so they didn't slide around. The storage bins weren't air-tight, either. But, between the tonneau and the storage bins, the stuff in the bins stayed relatively dust-free.. and I don't remember anything ever getting wet inside the storage bins, under the tonneau.. :dunno:

this, but I have Lund International

Had it for about 4 years now, the velcro has started to peel, so I will need to reattach it this summer, but it has held up nice.

If you are going to be using it only part of the time and you dont want any hardware on your truck, I would recommend the trifold soft covers. I have a cheaper roughcover or somthing like that. Its a tri fold cover and I love it! I can take it off and noone knows that I can have a topper because the hardware is self contained. Takes about 5 min to put it on or take it off. There are tons of brands out there of trifolds too.

Thanks for the link Dr. Bob, I will probably order through him in the next week or two. Thanks for the recommendation Matt but the cover is going to be on permanent, only rolling it up when I haul something tall. With the regular cab I need some storage out of the elements for EMS jump kit and my toolbox for work etc.
