Looking for input, opinions and experience on snow plows and trucks. I don't know if we will be getting snow this year or not but I want to be prepared and it looks like we have twice as many properties to put ice melt on and push snow.
I can't decide if I want to 0% the plows and put one on the dump truck that is a 2wd dually. I could also buy a truck that might have a plow on it or might even get a truck to plow on.
When I used to plow with pickups, we would seldom use 4wd. That's the benefit of the dump truck, at least I think with 4 wheels back there. I could always use chains and "winter" tires. I would probably prepare the truck with a dump bed on it with a back up camera for added safety!
I do have a video of the old dump truck pulling the bobcat and trailer weighing 16k pounds+ up a icy hill. It's on my facebook timeline from January.
