Smoked or Chrome?

I don't have one on mine but if I did it would be painted to match my truck so it would be invisible BUT still protect my hood.

Eh? Man it would look bad if it did. I have zero chips on the corners, it is more than enough. Here is a shot:

Got any body shop buddies? How about a production shop? The chrome shield is really just plastic... and can be painted.

I called a couple different body shops and neither one of them was willing to paint mine. They said it wouldn't hold up and they weren't willing to do it. Something about the type of plastic they use for the chrome ones.
