I have a slide camper, bought in USA Michigan last year, and imported in France by myself, it is a Sunvalley Apache 865 WS, good camper not expensive as lance or other Artic-fox, it is not the same quality for sure but actually i have no issue with it. You can find it for 12-13000$ according the dealer, without electric jack. It fit on long or standard bed, I have a 6" bed with extended cab 1500, added rear firestone ride rite for more comfort. With the 6,0L the silverado work very well, mpg is around 13,7 according roads profile (in mountains I take 20L/100km, sorry I do not the conversion in mpg). We love our camper, but we think change for a biggest with a GM duramax (diesel is less expensive here than gas !).
You can look also Northstar camper, very well build, or Northern-lite more expensive but top quality campers.
