Since this is on tires, quick explanation on numbers.

Example: 265/75R16

265 = width
75 = sidewall height
16 = rim size

Right?

Can someone clear this up a little for me?

265 is width. 75 is the aspect ratio (75% of thread width) 16 is the wheel size.

Currently rolling on General Grabber UHP's. 275-45-20's. Wasn't sure about these tires when I first got them, but after 3 years I have to say they were great and handle like a dream. My only complaint is they tend to flat spot, but my truck does sit more then it's driven. The flat spots go away after a couple of miles up the road.

Those are the perfect size! I think that would help keep the rubber from sticking out too far.

Thanks! I didn't like them at first. I'd been running the Goodyear Eagle GT's for a few years and the Eagles look really slim. The Generals looked chunky at first because they had bigger tread. After a few days I got use to them and will more then likely replace them with the same unless when I go to buy new tires next year someone runs a huge unbeatable deal on something else.

You should be fine with that size, depending on the rim size. I want to say my rims are 8.5" wide. I decided to use Ford's factory tire size from the Harley Davidson 20's. Mainly because Goodyear produced one of the only affordable 20" truck tires when I first got the rims back in 2002. All the others were CRAZY expensive. Believe me, I'm glad to see 20" tires become more affordable. I can now say my wife's 17" tires cost more then my 20" tires, mainly 275/45's are designed for trucks and SUV's. Drop down to something like a 40 or 35 series and there's a big difference in price.

Well the Monsters are 9 inches wide, so maybe 295 would be better?

+35

I'm hoping that's enough to keep them from sticking out. Most people run the +18, but they're on 4WD trucks.
