Heavy Metal Red Neck
So along with ALL THE OTHER fWONkIN' PROBLEMS I've had with and surrounding my transmission rebuild/replacement I crushed the end of the shift cable because I
didn't need to wire it up out of the way

I tried fixin' it but, to no avail.
$150 at GM Dealer HALF THE PRICE shipped from Rock Auto (love that they are a sponsor).
(ordered it Thurs afternoon regular ground ship "out for delivery" to my house TODAY!!!!!!!
)
I didn't think to snap some pics but, here are some from a "How to":
How do you pop the ball joint out. Is there a retainer clip or is it just a matter of a trim panel tool/screwdriver? I don't want to pry at it and break ANOTHER component. I was looking at the lower one by the range selector and couldn't see a clip or really anything to depress for release.
Thanks in advance.
