I couldn’t find anything about my problem already posted, but has anyone had a problem with the seat warmer coming on by themselves? The driver’s side seat warmer, on my 2005 Chevy Z71 Silverado started coming on when I first start driving it. I turn it off, but it will come back on. This happens for about 15 to 20 minutes, before it stops. It just started yesterday, so it will probably get worst with time. Read something on the internet, that it’s the Seat Warmer switch on the door. Any info is really appreciated.

I have had the same problem on my 2006 Silverado. Changed out the switch and thought it was fixed but the problem came back. I read somewhere online about possibly a body control module or something like that was causing it. Funny thing is it only seems to happen if it's wet outside?
I gave up trying to fix it.
But if you have any solid luck I'd love to hear what you did.

Yeah, I also read something about the moisture causing this problem. IT has been pretty wet around here (Houston) as you mentioned. Trying to see if I can disconnect just the seat warmer, as I don’t really use it. I’ll keep looking and if I do find the solution, I’ll post it on here.

Well, once the heavy rains passed through, and the truck sat out in the sun all day, the problem w/the seat warmers went away and hasn't returned. at least not yet. Had some rain last night and it's been really humid in the mornings, but still no issues. I think once I get to the electrical contacts of the switches, mounted on the door and clean them with electrical contact cleaner, I should be ok.
