As some of you know I have Toshiba HIR bulbs in my 1995 and love their output. I already pulled the 9011 highbeam bulbs from my 95 and put them in the Avalanche, but I want to know if the 9012 lowbeam bulbs will cause glare in a cladded Avalanche?

The reason I ask is because the cladded Avalanches have no glare shields covering the lowbeam bulb, and the 9012 HIR bulbs don't have the black tip covering the top of the bulb like stock 9006 bulbs do. I'm worried that without any kind of a shield, these bulbs might cause a lot of glare to others on the road. Any opinions?

I have no idea, but if it is easy enough to get to the bulbs, its worth a shot. :dunno:
