Diesels get good fuel economy anyways, I'd go with the 4.10's and never have to worry about power.
If your gonna get a 08 stick with GM and get a Duramax with the Allison. The Dodge Cummins uses a 6.7 from 07 and up and it is junk compared to the 5.9 Cummins that they used to have. The 6.7 is really restricted with emmissons crap.
