After today, if this doesn't fix it... It's gotta be the turbo.

Hot hot water and heavy degreaser will do it. You are good to go

Unfortunately.... A dirty intercooler was not my problem. Took most of the day, but at least I didn't spend 600 bucks on a new intercooler, lol.

I flushed it with a 2" water line after, and used a vac truck on pressure to blow out left over water... Anything left after that, isn't going to hurt the engine, lol.

Vane position sensor and turbo vane actuation check out... No more cheap testing left...

The only other people I've found that had the same problem is a cracked turbo housing... FML.

Pressure test the whole system with everything hooked up. Soap it down and see if the compressor housing is cracked

Officially turbo. Even after the PVC reroute and flush, my cold side piping is leaking oil out of it... Also, maintains speed occasionally, after I lift the throttle.

Gotta decide if I'm sticking with VGT crap, and and dropping in a stock or upgraded, or doing a fixed vane conversion.

Tough call! VGT is amazing for turbo lag, when it's working, but damn! The price. What will you do, put an exhaust brake on??

If I go fixed vane, I'm going with a smaller turbo... Less big power, but quick spool. Like an S362 with a .70ar... Or slap an HE351 (.63ar) on there, since I can get one for free, lol.

Most aftermarket turbo kits are .ar or higher... But right now I need it to run properly instead of making big power.

Both will be a good base for twins in the future.

Aftermarket exhaust brakes are far more aggressive than VGT brakes anyways... Which is good. Still not a compression brake, but better than nothing, lol.

But, a VGT drop in is going to be cheaper. Lol.

Just found a dyno chart of the 362 on an LML... Spools 400 - 500 RPM quicker than the stock turbo...

It's shit like this that makes it a hard decision, lol
