Wow! The New Balance racing shoes fooled me; I figured that guy knew what he was doing. Seriously, I question whether that dude should be on a track if he's wearing sneakers and jeans at 100+ MPH. Then, there's also the part where he nearly kills a guy. :failrack:
Holy shit. He's gonna be sore for a while. I'm glad he's OK (sort of ON anyway). I've seen several amateur two wheeler crotchrocket pilots lose it out of the burnout box here... but they just wend down. Damn. Hope your buddy heals up soon.
So apparently this guy races all the time on a drag bike. He had just never rode this bike before. He was very apologetic and was crying when he left the track.
Glad your friend is going to be ok doc. That was some scary stuff right there. I'm going to have to have to call bullshit on the squid having drag bike experience. As T pointed out, that's a moronic set of gear to be dragging a bike with. Someone with experience on a drag bike would have the proper gear and know how STUPID it is to run without it. He also didn't change thing about what he was doing when he lost control of the bike....didn't let off the gas, pull the clutch in, or even just let go of the bike as he was going low side. Never released anything he was doing til the bounce off the barrier knocked him off the bike. That is text book n00b. They freeze because they don't know what to do. Asshole's lucky he didn't REALLY hurt or even kill someone.
