Re: Gangsta truck

Seriously, I have driven in ice and snow in the "mountains" with only street tires in 4wd, and you don't need chains if you take it easy.

Nothing worse than fucking with chains, and beating the piss out of your fenders

Re: Gangsta truck

Watch out with that... Your ass end is going to swing around really easy on ya.

Seriously... Just spend the extra money and get a complete set :)[/QUOTE]

yeah I just thought about that. But a loss of traction is a gain of fun isnt it? hahaha
except when its into the other lane. thats just a jolly ole' time.

I definitely wont need them every day, but I suppose it'd be better to have too many, than too few.

Depends on how much freezing rain they get...

I know last winter, we had a good nights worth, and my supervisor got his pickup stuck in the ditch... The only way the body job iron truck could stay out of the ditch was to chain up

If he stays away from the v-bars and snugs them up tight, he shouldn't have any fender issues, if he wants chains that badly :D

Where I go sometimes we've had straight black ice, and all too often on hills. (Went car-sledding once, puckered my pooper)

V-Bars?

v-bars are the chains with the points/studs on them.

I saw those...

That happens around me more often, though... We spend a fair amount of time around the -10*C (14*F) temps here... That is PRIME freezing rain temperature

I'll be picking up some Diamond back s-class chains for my truck... Made for low clearance

Re: Gangsta truck

none of this would be necessary if my truck was just a Transformer... Then I suppose she'd have to be a GM though...
None of this will happen with my tranny on its way out either :(
