Looks good. How loud is the straight pipe?

it's got a decent tone to it. The 04 f150s (I think 05s might have too) came with 4 cats so there's still a decently quiet tone, but if you get on it you know the muffler isn't there anymore. I would say its probably louder in the cab.

Hey Zach... explain a little more about the "GOTTS MOD"...

I sincerely hope you're joking.

No I wasn't joking...
I had never heard of it till you mentioned it...
I am a GM guy...
I went to F150online and read about it...
It is replacing a restrictive piece of the intake... looks like it should work OK...

 agreed I had not heard of it before, but it looks to work well...

nice progress on the rig!

sorry about that, thought it was sarcasm as on many of the other f150 oriented forums it is way over picked. just a 3" pipe replacing a 2.25-2.5 inch pipe and hose clamping it onto the intake. works ok works better once you get a decent high flow filter on the truck

btw despite how simple the gotts mod is my dad decided he would try to make it simpler by torching the pipe rather than grinding it down. here's a picture of what happened.

basically the pipe stayed on fire and my dad tried to put the fire out and reshape the tube by smashing it with a piece of 2x4.

thanks for the compliments guys
