Nope. Alignment is next. Only thing you can set on a solid axle is toe, so I'll do it on the garage foor.

You kinda got me wanting a jeep... I was thinking that once I get the motor in the green truck I will sell that and get a jeep...

You know this is more to make fun of than anything else but one of my buds has one of those little kia's that are 4X4 with the vaccum line that goes the front hubs for the 4 wheel drive.. Those things are notorious while you are offroading that those vaccum lines get disconnected and you lose your 4 wheel...
We found that you can get locking hubs for $120 and it cost about $80 to put them in..

We went through some tall grass along the creek in the back woods and we were going fine until we came up to a 3 ft ditch that you couldnt see cause of all the brush.. It bottomed out and I had to pull it out...

He had some mud tires on that thing and everything! haha

Ok ok back on topic! Sorry Jim... Nice Jeep BTW!

I have a few more appearance related items going on with it this week. I'll post some pics when they are done.

Thanks for the kind words guys!

she looks great, she doesn't, rub at full chock? You get the speakers installed?
Nope. Still has about an inch of clearance when fully turned. I could go one size bigger on tires with a little trimming but I wanted it to remain a civilized driver and still be off road capable.

Not much visual to report. Got the suspension all buttoned up and aligned. Steam cleaned the undercarriage, painted the axle housings, and undercoated the under rockerpanels and rear wheelwells.

It drives great! A little stiff and very Jeeplike. WOO HOO!

Next is a 3 row ALL METAL radiator, new high volume water pump, all new hoses, belts etc. 00 and 01 4.0 has a distributor-less ignition system but I'll be replacing the plugs and doing new fluids everywhere. I'm pretty happy with it.

I still intend to paint the lower rockers and tint the windows.
