It's just a little RV campground about 90 minutes from here...the only requirement for it was to have full hookups + cable so we can test out everything on the trailer before winter sets in and we lose 3- 6 months of our 12 month warranty

Also...10 pages and 93 posts later, I'll get back on topic for this subforum ....
This truck pulls like a beast. It was a short ride home, but there were a lot of stoplights and the duramax pulls from a dead stop so easy! We didn't have much in the way of highway or hills, so I didn't get a chance to really see how the cruise or exhaust brake work together, but that will happen soon enough!

After pulling our little 9x12 trailer with my 02 and seeing how it down shifts on the slightest hills, to me a diesel for anything of size would be the way to go, that is if you plan on towing often.

I couldn't get over how often my truck had to downshift and we live in the flat lands.

Wind resistance is what kills your mileage over the long run... If you could put a solid block of 5000lbs in the box, without catching extra air, you'd still get over 15 - 17 mpg...

Finally got to do my first long haul with the truck yesterday. Ran 475 miles down to southern Delaware to pick up a car my Father in law bought and brought it home.

1963 Ford Galaxy 500 XL Sunliner

Car weighs 4100 lbs, trailer 1900. pulled 16.4 mpg down with empty trailer, 14.1mpg back loaded.

Didn't even know the trailer was back there in either direction. Love this truck, and can't wait to work it harder this spring.
