With all the DFM lifter issues, I'm hoping keeping fresh quality oil in will keep me safe from one going bad. You don' have that issue.
I read some where that by using a thicker oil it was taking care of that problem. :dunno:

No, thicker isn't better. It's an old myth that keeps going around. GM went with a thicker oil on the recalled 6.2's because of out of tolerance rod end's. The lifter issue is also part bad quality used lifters and those that don't change their oil like they should.

Here is mine on my 2022 Jeep Wrangler with the Ecodiesel. This oil change is with AMSOIL's DEO 5w-40 Signature Series, the previous one was with AMSOIL's European 5w-40 FS oil and before that was what ever the dealer put in before I purchased the Jeep. This sample was just shy of 5k. Ecoguard oil filter was used and put another one on. It seems to be the go to filter for those in the Ecodiesel world, at least on the Wrangler side and for the Gen 3 Ecodiesel.

Jeep Wrangler Ecodiesel
Total miles: 53693
Oil miles: 4580
Oil filter: Ecoguard
BP Diesel for the most part with Archoil, trying it to see if there is a difference between it and AMSOIL's Diesel Injector Clean with Cetane Boost. So far I can't see a difference.

I sold my Cruze diesel and got a 2022 Wrangler Ecodiesel back in Nov 2024. Wife loves Jeeps and got one herself and said I could get one but had to sell the Cruze. Which was ok since it didn't do well getting Hunter and her wheel chair in it. The Jeep fits the chair nicely and Hunter loves ridding with the top open.

This is my wife's Wrangler 4xe. Most driving is done on electric around town, 10 to 18 miles. It's crazy that this thing kicks the engine on for a few seconds and then shuts off. Only time it runs full time is on the interstate. So just after we got off the interstate for a 45 min drive I pulled the sample. Seems the short turn on and off and not running much at all is really putting fuel into the oil. I hate to see what other 4xe engines oil looks like. Especially those that go 10k on an oil change using dealer installed oil. I need to start changing at 3k miles and just run AMSOIL's OE or even their synthetic blend. I know there are other choices but I like to use AMSOIL and fortunate that I can afford to do so. This is also using the Ea15k 50 oil filter. Might as well change out to a CQ Premium for a lesser cost there. Air filters engine and cabin get changed out in May after this nasty yellow pollen goes away.

This is a friends 2011 Fusion, She has 191k on it and this oil change was at 7,750 miles using AMSOIL's High Mileage 5w-30. It calls for 5w-20 but this is all I had at the time. Looks like she can go 10k on the next change. It also had an EaO33 oil filter on it, which is no longer made but I found a bunch on eBay for $10 each shipped. Her drive to and from work is 30 miles each way. A good bit of stop and go in places. She isn't using coolant that I know of but will keep an eye on it.
