Since cabin air filters are a forgotten item most of the time. I'm guilty. I figured maybe a little spot on the forum to post up some of the nasty ones. Here is my 2002 Silverado filters. I just checked and these have been in there for 2 years and 26 days and have 17,699 miles on them. I try to change the cabin air filter out once a year but as usual I missed a year. The one picture is what fell out as I pulled the filters out.

Holy crap! I should more than likely change mine. I overlook that every time.

From what I'm reading, the 2011/12 Silverado 2500HD didn't come equipped with one. Probably why no parts stores in the area have them. :dunno:

It just amazes me at the amount of crap that it collects. I wonder how clogged your AC system is if there isn't a filter to catch it? Makes one wonder.

I was surprised to see that mine doesn't come with one from the factory. :dunno:
