Well I have a code showing a cylinder 6 misfire. I have no idea how long the plugs and wires that are in the truck now have been in there. I am almost to 120K on the OD, so I am thinking it's time to replace them. Suggestions on brands of wires and plugs? Best place to purchase from? :dunno:

Whatever is in there now will suffice just fine, be plenty affordable, and best of all... you already know your truck runs well on them.

At least on the newer Hemi's, it seems like the Dodge boys really recommend sticking with the Mopar plugs. It seems like there have been lots of complaints of aftermarket plugs not firing correctly and the Hemi is very particular on the heat range of the plugs installed. Mine are due for a change, they say every 30k on these and I am at 35k, but 16 $4.50 plugs gets a little pricey. :dunno:

Check the battery connections and put a multimeter on the battery and see what it is putting out. When you go to crank the truck check to see if the lights dim in the process. That can tell you if it is pulling from the battery and not a bad connection.

I second the use of the plugs and wires that are in the truck now.

The indicator light on the battery is no longer glowing green, I don't have a multimeter, so I am taking it to the parts store. I am guessing that I got the misfire code because of a dead battery. The ram's have the coil packs also, so if it wasn't getting enough juice, it could have cause a misfire. I am going to clear the code after I get a new battery (if that's the issue) and then see if it happens again.

Once it's running it should be pulling off the alternator, no?

Like Wayne said, I believe Hemis like 16 new plugs every 30k miles.
