I've seen kids here with them painted so dark that you can't begin to see their lights. I'll pass on that.

There's a freaking 2011 Escalade around here like that. All you see is a faint red blur when he hits the brakes.

Yep. Once you start cutting off the back half of your frame and the floor out of your bed, not much structural integrity left... PLUS... insurance companies are not going to pay for all of the fabrication that is needed to "fix" it and have it happen all over again the next time somebody rear ends him as 20 mph.

Yep. Once you start cutting off the back half of your frame and the floor out of your bed, not much structural integrity left... PLUS... insurance companies are not going to pay for all of the fabrication that is needed to "fix" it and have it happen all over again the next time somebody rear ends him as 20 mph.

That sucks, but hopefully they'll pay him for the extras and not just what a Colorado is worth that year, unfortunately I highly doubt it.

IIRC unless you specifically insure the vehicle with all the custom features, no. If he does get covered, it will be to replace parts/labor as if it were stock or factory.
