I'm not sure as far as heat goes and melting the lenses with the type of headlights you have, but I know if some F-150's the round fog lenses you have to use 35w cause 55 will melt them. I would go with 6000K I prefer the white rather than the tint of blue. Doesn't blind other drivers as much IMO. Once you have them you will never want another vehicle without them.

I like 5k myself, but in your case I'd go 6k. I like 35w in my lows (so I don't blind people quite as bad for everyday driving) and 55w in my highs (so I can see 1/2mi down the road with no one around).

If you're getting them for your fogs, get 35w just to be safe.

I loved my H.I.D's in the sierra. And when I get a new truck I will have them again.

Get some 35 watt 6000k for your lows. They work great on my truck, Tobias has some on his Tahoe as well, but his are 5000k. You dont even need a relay harness, just plug them up to the stock headlight wires. Mine have been fine like that for 2 years now with ZERO problems. Don't forget to re-adjust your headlight aim after you install them though.

My advice? 35w 6000k.

55w is too hot.

6000K has some blue tint to them, but mostly white, so they are best for visibilty.

Check out my build thread for a before and after of 35w 6000k HID's. ;)
