Onboard a 2010 ZR1 vs. Turbocharged Acura Integra

the acura kept up through the 1/8 mile and even had the lead through most of them. Then, out of nowhere the ZR1 hits the afterburners at probably 90mph and just blows by him.
It's like the acura just hits a wall that the ZR1 doesn't.

The "wall" is the fact that the Honda isn't making that much power ... probably around 300whp give or take with that trap speed.

A bone stock Nissan GTR will turn out similar, or usually faster, times than that ZR1, which is more inline with what a ZR1 should be matched against rather than a 10+ year old modified FWD Acura ... but I guess that wouldn't make for good Chevrolet chest beating material when the GTR outruns it.

Personally I'd rather have a Z06 ... all motor 427ci C6 ... I'll take one please.

The GTR won't run a ZR1 without running launch controls... The transmissions don't hold up very will when you use it... And of course once you use launch controls it voids any type of warranty...

Tuning the ECU voids the warranty on the ZR1 ... GM will know it's been reflashed.

... and then the wheels stop spinning.

500whp FWD cars are pretty worthless. A well built K20 EG would be ideal, it'd get 40 MPG and run in the high 12s. A really fun daily driver.

Yeah, they like to wheel hop and destroy axles, transmissions, and differentials when you get any power to the ground in a Civic or Integra. You gotta spend a fortune on it to hold up to launching, and even then, they are temperamental.

I've pushed a Honda or two off the starting line.

I know for a fact, that a high miled, stock Mazda B2600i will start tearing the front end apart as a FWD

However I'll take an LS engine over any rice engine any day.

Over just about any engine for that matter.
