After sitting in my shop for 4 years, I put my old 86 ranger back on the road today. Threw a battery in it and it fired right up.

Its got 169k on it and to me it is like that old favortie pair of sweat pants that you only waer on Sundays. Look and smell like shit, but comfy as hell. Forgot how much I liked that little truck.

Those are great old trucks. I see people around here starting to really pay attention to early Rangers and S10s. There are several really nice ones running around.

Xtra cab, long bed, 2.9l v6. Mechanically it has been good to me

1 clutch, 1 shifter fork and an engine reseal. Beyond that a couple water pumps Thermostats etc. I probably will jinx it by saying this, but it has never broken down on me and never had to be towed.


Should I bag and lower it? :loser:


I've never really seen a Ranger tricked out.

Nah,just drive it.Looks too nice to start messin' with.Might create new probs.Maybe some nice wheels and tires
