I'll have to see what I can do with the wifes Acadia OnStar. I like having it as a piece of mind in case of her getting into an accident. The year subscription just went out.

Another tip, anyone with DirecTV and has been with them over a year or so can call and try to cancel and they will work with you as well. My father-in-law called and they gave him all the movie channels for a year free and his local channels for six months free. He just told them that he could get a better deal if he went with Dish Network.

I did that a few months ago and Directv just knocked like $5 a month off my bill:dunno:

I don't feel OnStar is worth it. I never used it the year I had it for free and never said to myself, "I wish I had OnStar" since it ran out over 1 1/2 years ago.

I used it once, when I witnessed a t-bone crash at an intersection. but by the time I got done talking to the onstar lady and they called the cops, it was already reported and in the emergency dispatch system.
