So in the last couple weeks, I've noticed the my oil pressure gauge spikes whenever I'm accelerating mildly. The normal was at 40, its been spiking up to 60 most the time, and slightly over at harder acceleration. After slowing down or holding steady, it drops back between 40/60. Any suggestioins as to why?

We need more specifics. Year, make, model, mileage.

I just had the oil pressure sensor replaced on my truck this Monday. My gauge was showing a solid 80 and maxed out. It turned out to be a bad sensor. $180 to replace it. :dunno:

My old Sierra did that too before I sold it. I never really cared as long as it was getting enough at high rpm.
