Brought the truck home!

November 3, 2011

Decided to bring the truck home today. Rode my motorcycle down to my grandma's (cold as heck) this morning and left it there.

Got the passenger's side exhaust leak taken care of, but it was so loud that it was covering up a driver's side leak....so sometime this weekend I'll check those three nuts and tighten them up. Once my Adam's Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner gets here, I'm gonna give the driver's floor another go and see what happens.

Driving was a blast!!! I can't wait to get the exhaust leak taken care of (again) and see what it really sounds like. Next project is getting the wiring done and mounting the ballasts for the HID's. Once that's done, new headlights and turn signals are going on. Gonna have to hold off on the new off-road lights on the bumper until later in the winter or next spring. I'm removing the ones that are on the bumper now. They are no longer hooked up and they suck anyways.

We'll see if I can get this stuck this winter at all. :D Only problem is that I don't know anyone else with a truck.

Yep. Next year the body gets all the attention. The driver's side has all the problems; passenger side is almost spotless. I'll take dents over rust holes any day. I still really want to repaint it the orange available on the Colorado/Cavalier/Cobalt/G6 (just to name a few).

That'll depend on the tires...

All you need is like 100lbs in the box, and I doubt you'll need to even kick in the 4x4.

Tires look about new; General Grabber. We'll see how they do!

I always carry a small scoop shovel, tow strap, and jumper cables in the winter. I try to be prepared. :)

I'm gonna try running without any weight in the bed to start. I have 5 70lb sand bags I can add as needed (kept them from the previous S10).
