Truck is a great looking truck and pics don't do it justice. Need to see it in person, real clean truck. The rims and lift I think are a good plan. No idea on what kind though.
Thanks Lee! Hey, how you likin' the BB tune?
I'm thinking a very small lift. I still want to fit in a garage someday.

98's have always looked the best to me. I used to have a 3500 so I'm a little partial to the style. I really like yours, the tails are about the only thing that I would change, otherwise it's great truck and you've taken very good care of it.
I'm probably going to be changing the tails this winter or next year.
Thanks, I wash it like crazy. Last year, I washed it every-other week in the winter to keep the salt off of it.

I like my bed rails. I got them for tie-down hooks. I always thought they looked good with the nerf bars.

Just a quick search, but what do you think about this lift kit?

One problem I'm seeing with this kit is the wheel backspacing. It says not to exceed 3.75"....well the rims I've found are 4.5" to 5.75". So does that mean that the rim will stick back farther past the disc/drum and hit?

I like these MotoMetal 0951's, but the backspacing is 4.53".

Always been a fan of the body style, and love how the 99+ wheels look on them. Like the mob I agree on the taillights. Euros are done. Beautiful truck though!

ALMOST as nice as mine.

Just kiddin, I've been thinking of going to a set of led tails with some tint just like the ones you posted. I like your truck just the way it is. I've thought about the mirrors and handles, I think having my mirrors red would be way to bright, and the door hands I'm not sure, yours would look nice stainless with the step bars and bed rails.

One of my favorite trucks, my favorite color on an OBS. Tails aren't my favorite but they aren't that bad. Other than maybe them I wouldn't change a thing.

Those led taillights don't look to bad but I don't like just the bottom part smoked, light smoking on all of it would look good though.

Thanks!
And ya, the tail lights will be getting changed. I want LEDs on the back (to match the tailgate bar).

Mine will not be as nice as yours until I redo it.
That's what I was thinking on the handles. I might leave the mirrors black or experiment with a green one (I have a spare broken one I could use).

Those same tails are available without smoke. I thought the smoked version was the entire thing smoked, but they only smoke the reverse. But I think you're right that the non-smoked would look better.

If you are keeping your 1500 badges, you should colormatch the bowtie emblems on those too.

I would get rid of the chrome fender trim too. Otherwise great GMT400!

Can I get rid of the Chevy1500 badges and keep the trim without having a flat spot there??
If I get rid of the chrome or rubstrip, I'm getting rid of both, but I kind of like the chrome strip running the length of the truck :dunno:.

I think I need to learn how to PS stuff so I can experiment cheaper .
