I've been thinking about this a lot lately. I'd love to find a POS roller Fox and

Budget swap! Put in a nasty upper 230's duration cam + springs & rods, rod bolts, conversion headers, and spray the house down. No need for an expensive converter because drag racing is how you break parts, just roll race. The axle will be safer lol. Full manual TH400 or TH350 to make things even simpler. Their not lock up converters so even the nicer ones are cheaper. I think foxes weigh in the lower 3000lb range factory. After gutting it and leaving a driver and passenger seat it should be under 3,000 lbs, and with around 500rwhp on a 150 shot should be fun. No need for AC or power steering, lol.

What would cost a little more is a custom harness because I don't mess with that shit, and mounts/K member. Need my bro to get his car done and get it out of the garage and into his.

edit: To get a 3000 lb car to trap 125mph only takes 450 rwhp, that's 100 shot territory. 350 rwhp should trap around 115.

You should just run a carb.... or do you really want to go fuel injected? I think foxes are right around 3k from the factory. So if you strip it out, you can easily be 2800 lbs.

lol their so light. I think a carb and intake might cost more than a harness and PCM. I have a friend whose good with electronics and he could probably rework a factory harness, but I'd have to either pay him or listen to him bitch. I think staying injected would be better due to tuning.

Yeah the tuning would be easier going FI. That would be one bad biotch with a 150-200 shot.

Man even 350rwhp N/A would be nice, that should trap around 115 in those tiny cars. A 200 shot could definitely put it in the 130's lol. Told a friend tonight to watch out for Fox rollers, he's the same one that would do the wiring. Being a ricer he said I should get an RX7 shell. Yeahno.
