thanks, i'll look into it. it appears they are just an overlay, and im curious if you can see a lip from it

Thats what I have in my GMC. They were installed when I bought 7 yrs ago and havent had any problems with them.

Can get some tomorrow. They are dirty, truck has been a daily driven work truck since I got it.

I can't remember the company names, but I know there are at least a couple of companies (and probably a lot more) that make replacement inserts with different types of looks.. Different types of wood, different types of metal-like finishes, etc.. I'll do some searches to see if I can come up with anything..

I found one company called Woodview.. http://www.woodview.com/ They appear to have other finishes, though, other than wood/fake wood.. You could probably do a Google search on "Chevrolet Tahoe Dash Kit" and find some different companies and different types of finishes.. :dunno:

I've heard horror stories about Woodview on GMT. LOTS of people had very negative experience with them. Although, thats who I bought my bumper cap billet grill from and I had no problems with them. :dunno:
