Don't you know that a new car payment and insuring another vehicle is much cheaper than gas for a truck.

Getting better fuel mileage than a ecoboost doesn't really say much. I know a lot of guys that complain about the EB's fuel mileage.
I bet they average about 17 as well!
I work with a guy who has an Ecoboost, and he is averaging 15-17 mpg in most driving. He says the best he ever got was 21 running 60 with a tailwind. It's a totally stock ECSB 4x4, so it's not like he is running mods that would kill the mpg. He is so happy with the mileage that he parked the truck and bought a Cruze to run around in.
The new powertrain lineup in the GM models does look promising, but I am still not fond of the styling.![]()
I will never understand that mentality, personally. How does a car payment help?

There is an exception to this if he is driving for his job. My previous employer parked their diesel and gas trucks and bought cars. They were spending anywhere from $1200-1500 with the trucks and now they are spending $300-500 with the cars. The trucks are still there if they need it but the savings is astronomical. I thought about buying a cruze myself just for looking at jobs.

Yes, there can almost always be a case made if the circumstances are just right, but the statement in this case was "bought a Cruze to run around in."

I never understood "saving the truck." I'm always looking for an excuse to buy a new one anyways.![]()

I am looking for another truck that has a cash price. I'm done with payments!

Last time I checked... they all have a cash price...
Just some of 'em take a lot more cash than others...![]()
