Noise passenger side front '05 Xterra

ok I have a noise on the passenger side engine compartment or in the passenger side dash close to the engine compartment that sounds like wire the sound an angle grinder at slow speed being slowed down on a piece of metal. or a piece of wire in an cooling fan, maybe the sound an small actuator would make if it was dry. Sometimes its louder. I can never to get it to make the noise on purpose. Sometimes it dose it at first start up after a about 30 seconds of driving. Other times it dose it after warm up and just driving down the highway. Any ideas of what it might be? This is so annoying!!! Below is a clip of the sound

It could be a leaf that came in thru the cowl and is hitting the AC fan...

nah. There is a filter that prevents anything from reaching that stuff. Which i change every 15K

if it was those wouldn't the noise speed/slow down with the engine and be constant?

Well not necessarily, I have heard torque converter bolts be loose on trucks and make an intermittent noise similar to the one I was hearing on the video. May be a shot in the dark, but if you could lay down close while someone revs it you may be able to eliminate it.

Check for leaves or other debris that may have gotten sucked into the engine intake.
