Nissan unveils V8 diesel

Its funny that even Nissan wont use a Nissan diesel. We had a UD box truck with a Nissan diesel at my last job and it was a big POS that was always breaking down and blowing turbos.

My guess is this has more to do with marketing than anything. This is a truck that needs life pumped into it. Truckheads will take a much harder look the next time they buy. It'll at least get a test drive, where it wouldn't have today.

Titan is not THAT bad.

I have to agree with Jim. If it wasn't for the 8.1L style fuel economy they would be pretty sweet trucks.

I actually think they look great. They might not have the best chassis or interior etc. but looks is something they got right IMO.

Mine didn't look bad. I hated the suspension, but the truck was strong and I liked the look. It was better looking than my stupid 05 Chevy 1/2 ton crew.

Im surprised there will even be a next generation Titan. Doesn't seem like the current one sells all that well and I hardly see any around despite having a few Nissan dealers in the area.

I don't! I could be out of a job if that happens! And I like my job, it allows me to be able to afford Ford products.

I think there was always going to be a 2nd Gen Titan it was just originally going to be a rebadged Ram but at some point while Chrysler was bouncing between owners after Daimler bailed (Cerberus, the US Government, and Fiat) that fell through, which explains why the current model has been on the market so long. They weren't working on anything internal to replace it with.

What doesn't make sense to me is, why not ram that cummins into just that... A ram half ton?
