The B2200 was Mazda through and through. Nothing Ranger about it. Pretty solid little trucks if you aren't in a hurry. I actually had one back in 88 when I worked for Mazda and I even towed a popup camper with it.

Yes, it had a camper shell. I'll try and find a pic.

I too have owned Mazda trucks 2 87's and an 88.

Bullet proof little trucks, but like the clown said "as long as your not in a hurry" I quit thinking about owning another once they became Ranger clones.

Yeah. It was a LONG time ago. Not much in nice looking shells available back then.

Nice old school pix! LMAO! Love it though! Bet some great memories came up when you pulled out those pix.

Yes, I was not impressed with the 2011. Only my 2nd Chevy, but didn't stand up to my expectations, as the 2003 did. Felt my '03 was more truck for the price (15K used) then my brand new '11 (30K). Pretty much tired of affording the 2011. Realized, I didn't NEED a brand new truck right now. A house would be much nicer.

Candy, the '88 Mazda, feels like she's worth double the $1600 I paid. And with only 144K miles, I see her going a long ways! I'll post some pix soon

I would say it should be similar to the rangers, no?

sent from my ICS ThunderBolt

The Mazda's are Ranger's with a face lift. If you've ever watched trucks on Spike tv......they took a Mazda B2200 and dropped in a 4.6L V8 and gave it a slight face lift to look like a Ranger
