New toy for the summer...Mini Boat.

So i saw one of these found in a storage unit on tv awhile back and thought they were awesome.
These are what they had before jet skis. I did a search on craigslist and found this one not too far from me so i picked it up.
It's an 84 with a 73 18hp 2 stroke evinrude.
My plans for it:
1. Paint it
2. Get a 40hp 2 stroke for it (any recommendations?)
3. Wire up all the lights to get it legal for the lake.
4. put a small marine stereo system in it.
I've seen people say that with a 40hp motor it could see speeds of 40mph or so. that's plenty fast for me in an 8 foot boat.

And I painted it yesterday. I had a gallon of John Deere green paint laying around so i put it in a gun and shot it. I think it looks pretty good. i've still got to wet sand and put another coat today.

Wow that's pretty neat. I've never seen one if those. Reminds me of a jet ski a friend of mine had. You sat side by side and you could slide the steering wheel between the two of you.

I can't even imagine 40 mph in that thing on a large lake. My buddy has a 17' bass boat that we take out on Kentucky Lake, and gettin up to 45 or so on there seems risky because of the wake. Should be a fun little toy to mess around in though! Looks awesome
