Should be a fun project, can't wait to see if this new/used G80 works. If it doesn't I'll tear the original apart and attempt a rebuild. There'll be many pics and vids.I'm going to set up my Sony Handi Cam on a tripod to take videos....might have to edit out the four letter explicitives though

Today I'm helping a friend get his dirtbike running and thur.,fri.,& sat. gotta work..won't be able to get to the diff. again until sunday :(

Update:Finally had some good weather so a friend and I started on the swap....Currently the new/used G80 is in the Burb, was running out of daylight so had to call it quits for today. Most of the work is on video(which I'm about to work on)but here are a few pics to hold you over.......

Safety first :)

I checked the backlash with the old diff installed: .0065-.0070,checked the new one: .008-.009,I can get it closer if need be...Jarrod input please.I marked both adjusting collars and they are the same before & after putting the new one in.Tomorrow I'll pull the axles back out(had to push 'em in to line up the diff),clean and reseal the flanges, install the bolts & torque 'em to 115 ft.lbs.

Gary, tolerance should be between 0.005 and 0.009, so I would say you're good to go. Pattern looks deep and full so I really don't see anything that I would do differently. Nice work buddy.

Should be fine. I might have stretched it on one with mileage.
