TX, where else should I be?
But if you are not "rolling coal", how would they know? are they going to randomly check people with diesels?

I doubt it.

Take off the tinfoil hat.

Vehicle inspections, traffic stops, etc. Happens in Texas all the time for missing emission equipment.

No tinfoil.

Not big on gubernment enforcement but rolling coal is dumb. The worst I've seen? Last week at a stop sign I came up behind a TDI "New Beetle" with a "rolling coal" bumper sticker and it did the best it could with a tiny 4 cylinder diesel. I laughed and then died a little inside.

Not going to roll coal in the Cruze. Wouldn't do it if I could anyway. I would however like to get the exhaust opened up more to get better mpg but until someone can unlock the ECM, non of the exhaust catalyst stuff can be removed. At least from what I have read online.

You need to hope that that ECM is used in something other than the Cruze too. If it's not, you'll never see it unlocked because there aren't enough of those cars out there to be worth a tuner's time to crack it. :(

He's right, government never oversteps its bounds. Especially in a constitutionally sound state like NJ

:jester:

The stupid thing is "rolling coal" was already banned in two different spots. It's like when they enact laws against murdering gay people. Murdering was already against the law, gay or straight. :wtf:

If that is how it came from the factory it is generally grand fathered...in Texas anyways.

The highway patrol and police officers are constantly pulling people over for illegal modifications. Easy ticket since there is no defense.

I wish they had a stipulation that would state fines are doubled if you were caught with the mirrors flipped out.
