I also like the older Dakotas. The first Quad-Cab ones are still the coolest ones in my opinion.

I liked the late 90's style (the one that looked like the Durango at the time), but the new ones are so big that they might as well be considered Full-Size. And yes, the new ones are EXTREMELY ugly!! :puke:

I always liked the Dakota R/T's, but could never find one with low enough miles and for the right price. I've always liked the idea of a light duty truck with a big V8 in it.

They were still slow as crap. For having a 5.9 liter, they were way under powered.

I thought the first ones off the assembly line back in the late 80s looked the best...

I had an '87 with a 3.9L V6 very similar to this one...

Nope...just 8 foot. :lol:

The long bed was specifically designed to carry 4x8 panels with the tailgate closed (unlike S10 and Ranger at the time); it had provisions for stakes and tie-downs, and used heavy duty steel to prevent dents.
